Motivation to Exercise

These days a large percentage of Americans don’t have the motivation to exercise. This is one of the reasons so-called fat farms are becoming more and more popular. There are so many motivations for exercising. It just takes some creative thinking and knowing where to look.

First of all, losing weight is the biggest motivation people have for exercising and going to fat farms alike. Everyone wants to look better and fit into their skinny jeans. It is hard to do that without exercising. Exercising while trying to lose weight means you don’t have to cut out as many calories as you would if you were not exercising. Fat farms and weight loss clinics everywhere encourage people to exercise when trying to lose weight.

If you are a very charitable person, you might just have reasons to start exercising and getting others to join you. 5-K and 10-K runs and walks are fun and the money goes to charity. You can donate money to charity while exercising at the same time. You also can donate your time to local organic farms while doing labor and exercising. This usually results in free healthy meals too! Fat farms usually don’t offer free meals.

Fat farms and specialists in the fitness field will tell you that exercise alters your mood. It’s true. When exercising, endorphins are released that decrease sensitivity to pain and help people feel generally happier. This is what people refer to as “runner’s high.” You don’t have to run to get it though. There are several different ways to exercise and get the chemical release you need to feel better.

Exercising most of the time provides time for yourself or time with friends. Sometimes people just need some “me” time. You can get that while walking and burning calories. You can also get time with friends while walking or jogging together. If you have small children, gyms have childcare services so that you are free to work out and thus have some time with other adults and for yourself. Fat farms and other weight loss camps encourage both alone time and time with other adults.

As stated above, there are many motivations to exercise. You don’t have to go to fat farms unless you tried and failed at motivating yourself!
